About the Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is focused on maintaining accurate membership records, hiring, retiring ,and attrition stats. Educating members on the available membership services, and providing assistance to furloughed members through the Furloughed Pilot Support Network and to veterans through the Veterans Affairs Committee.

 

The Furloughed Pilot Support Network provides a primary point of contact for furloughed pilots to the Association, and maintains a communications medium through which furloughed members can access job, insurance, financial assistance, and any other related information that may be helpful to furloughed members.

 

The Veterans Affairs Committee provides a primary point of contact for member pilots who are active or retired from the armed services, and also maintains a communications medium through which military members can access the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), as well as Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Labor (DOL), and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) policies that apply to this segment of ALPA’s membership and any other information that may be helpful.
